For Apple’s first iTunes Movies campaign, we distilled the year’s most powerful films into their most moving moments. Each was framed within a signature cinematic device that visually captured the feeling of being pulled into a story.
We launched the campaign on film’s biggest night, the Oscars, turning the moments that moved audiences all year into a tribute to the power of movies themselves.
Creative Direction, Creative, Integrated Campaign
The campaign was anchored by a triptych design system that let us tell compact visual narratives while exploring each film’s themes. Framed by film-stock perforations, the device paid homage to the physical age of cinema before streaming.
To complement the visual system, we created a repeatable copy mnemonic that distilled each film into a simple emotional truth.
The structure became an ownable storytelling device for the campaign, giving every execution a sense of familiarity, rhythm, and cinematic weight while reinforcing the idea that the best movies stay with you long after the credits roll.
